Created by the brilliant scientist Dr. Gero, Cell is a bio-engineered organism designed to be the ultimate warrior, incorporating DNA from some of the most powerful beings in the universe, including Saiyans, Namekians, and even Frieza's race.

Cell's evolution is a central theme in his character arc. He begins his life in an imperfect form, resembling a large insectoid creature, known as Imperfect Cell. In this stage, he seeks out and absorbs the energy of humans to achieve his perfect form.

Upon reaching his Semi-Perfect form, Cell becomes significantly stronger and more humanoid in appearance after absorbing Android 17. However, his true goal is to attain perfection by absorbing Android 18, which grants him unmatched power and abilities.

In his Perfect form, Cell becomes a nearly invincible opponent, possessing incredible speed, strength, and regeneration abilities. He revels in his newfound power and challenges the Z Fighters to a martial arts tournament known as the Cell Games, where he plans to test his strength against Earth's strongest warriors.
